At the same meeting that the commission gave Montgomery County developer Ken Goldenberg carte blanche to raze a fabulous art deco theater on Chestnut Street, it held a special ceremony to honor Wayne Spilove, a former commission chairman who distinguished himself by tearing down most of the 1600 block of Sansom Street. Maybe it's time to rename this branch of city government..."
